  • 2016 – End to End message and communication encryption. Whatsapp Deskotp app launched. Also Video Calling enabled.
  • 2018 – 1.5 Billion users every month and WhatsApp Business app enabled. Group Calling & Stickers enabled.

WhatsApp desktop app


Whatsapp desktop app is available for Windows 8+ and Mac OS 10.9+ and is synced with WhatsApp on your mobile device. Because the app runs same on your desktop. You’ll have support for native desktop notifications, better keyboard shortcuts, and more.

The desktop app can be download. Open the app and scan the QR code using the WhatsApp app on your phone go to your mobile whatsapp Web menu under WhatsApp.

Whatsapp web means you can access a carbon copy of your mobile WhatsApp on your desktop. Open Google Chrome browser type this address URL https://web.whatsapp.com. Now web page will show you QR code.

Just go to right side top three dot will appear on your mobile’s whatsapp, just tab on Whatsapp web. Scan your chrome browser QR code.  Your browser will now get connected with your account

Note : Always logoff your whatsapp from chrome browser else anybody can misuse.

End of 2016, whatsapp stopped support for WhatsApp Messenger on the following mobile platforms:

Android 2.1 and Android 2.2
Windows Phone 7
iPhone 3GS/iOS 6

These devices are now merely usable world wide and also not meeting requirement / compatibility as required for whatsapp.
