The outlook is one of the best email clients for desktop and laptop. If you want to configure your personal Gmail or official G Suite account account. In Outlook/thunderbird / Windows mail as a POP3. As we see Gmail not allowing to configure in outlook or other mail clients with POP3 protocol. At the result configuration not get complete. and you will get test is failing.
Outlook Error for Password using Gmail account
Sometimes you open outlook after a few days its popup as follows error message:
“The server has rejected your login. Please verify your username and password is correct.”
In the beginning, you will reset your password and we will check. If there is any SMTP or POP3 port mismatching as required for outlook to configure Gmail account.
The problem seems to be on the server. What can we do to resolve this issue?
How to check Gmail account for POP / IMAP configuration
- Sign in to Gmail account.
- Go to settings option click gear icon which is in the right just above the mail list.
- Click Forwarding and POP/IMAP – Now Select Enable POP as highlighted in the following screenshot. The POP option should be enabled.
After checking the above options you have to check outlook and Gmail outlook configuration. The requirements for POP accounts in a mail client is would differ.
