Go to RUN by Press Windows key + R. Type services.msc, then hit Enter. 

Search for Windows Update in services list – Ensure that you have admin privileges  

Right-click on Windows Update, then select Properties. 

Under General tab, set the Startup type to Disabled. 

Click Stop. 

Click Apply, and then click OK. 

Restart your computer. 

Note: Stopping Windows update permanently in danger for required essential security patch updates. Recommended to enable windows update once in a week to get the complete update manually.
