How to Configure Gmail for Scanning in Canon 2530 printer

Update and use the latest device or app to use Gmail

If the app or the operating system on your device is out-of-date, updating to the latest version might allow you to use the app with your Google Account.

Make sure you’re using the latest version of firmware and app on your device.  

Step by Step setup to configure email in an old Canon 2530 printer for Scan

First, go to Gmail mail and click on the Google account circle icon right corner of the Gmail page. Click Manage your google account. On the open page go to the left side option and click Security.

Step 1 Enable 2-step verification to go through the following screenshot. It will ask for your mail password. Now Turn-on two-way authentication.

  1. Step 2 Go back to the Security page and check for the App passwords option as follows: The first option chooses Email second option is other

Step 3 Type the device name for reference

Step 5 copy following security-generated password and use this password on your Canon printer page. Instead of a Gmail password, you must use this unique code.
