File blocked / compatibility issues may get occurs in the latest Microsoft office. Few old formatted files may be not open/edit, especially Office 2000, 97 documents. Edit a blocked file

You can make changes in the File Block via go through Trust Centre that will let you open, edit, and save your blocked file.

Follow steps to enable blocked file:

  1. Click File > Options.
  2. Click Trust Centre > Trust Centre Settings> File Block Settings
  3. Check the Opened selected file types in protected view and allow editing box.
  4. File Block area of Trust Centre
  5. View or modify File Block settings in the Trust Centre

In the File Type list, check or uncheck Open or Save for the file types you want to block or enable.
