EPFO online e-nomination process Step by Step

To ensure the social security of the family members. Epfo an online nomination process has been started by employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO). Gives Provident Fund (PF) nomination registration to all EPFO members.

Documents required for EPFO e-nomination process 

As the nomination is belongs to your financial transaction needs. there is some prerequisite documents required.

The documents required for e-nomination process are as follows: 

For EPFO members – 

1) Activated and Aadhaar linked UAN 
2) Mobile number to be linked with Aadhaar 
3) Updated member profile with photograph and address 
4) Mandatory KYC (Aadhaar, PAN and Bank) should be updated and verified in the EPFO portal.

For your Nominee – 

1) Scanned photo (JPG format 3.5 cm X 4.5 cm) less than 100 MB 
2) Softcopy of Aadhaar, bank account number, IFSC code and address 
3) Hassle-free updates use Mozilla Firefox browser

EPFO website is smoothly work with only Mozilla Firefox and also required some times JAVA to make transaction to get rid of EPFO Java Error.

PF nomination: How to do this online step by step? 

Note: for best result you have to download Firefox Browser in your pc, Instead any other browser Chrome or Internet explorer.

1] Login at EPFO’s official website — epfindia.gov.in. 

2] Go to ‘Service’ and click at ‘For Employees’ tab in drop down. 

3] Then click at ‘Member UAN/Online Service (OCS/OTCP)’ tab in Services. 

4] Login with your UAN and Password. Go through on the link:  (https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface )

5] Select ‘E-Nomination’ under ‘Manage’ tab. 

After login, to to Manage–> E-Nomination as follows screen

6] Click at ‘Yes’ to update your family declaration. 

You will get the following screen click file now this will bring to next screen to update your personal data. As well as family information 

7] Click at ‘Add Family Details’. 

After checking personal details proceed. One more popup will appear as follows 

Pressing yes, you must update your family members details carefully.  check the  

8] Click at ‘Nomination Details’ to declare total amount of share. 

In the next step, you can declare the ‘the %age of amount among the family nominees. If you want to single nominee, you can declare 100% as the share.

9] After declaration, click at ‘Save EPF Nomination’. 

10] Click at ‘E-sign’ to generate OTP. 

11] An OTP will be sent on your mobile number linked with Aadhaar card. 

12] Submit OTP. 

13] Your E-nomination is now registered with EPFO. 

EPFO member should note that he or she can add further than one PF designee in its, e-nomination and after submission of EPF, EPS nomination online, no farther physical documents will be needed. 

How to e-sign Nominee EPFO

This is the last step to getting full proof of registration of Nominee on the EPFO website. After the e-sign nobody asks you any further questions.  

E-sign get with the help of Aadhar enabled Virtual Id (VID).  

How to Generate a Virtual ID? 

Virtual id now can generate with the help of your registered Mobile number which is linked with Aadhar number. To generate a virtual ID, you need to send an SMS to 1947 from your registered mobile number. Format: GVID <SPACE> Last four digits of your Aadhaar number. Once the SMS is sent, UIDAI portal will send you a reply SMS containing you your 16-digit virtual ID. Virtual id is an alternate of Aadhar number.  

Now many government and private institutions not asking Aadhar number. Virtual id is sufficient instead.  

How To Retrieve a missing virtual ID: 

If you have already created a Virtual Id. And now you have missed or lost your virtual ID, you can retrieve the same by sending an SMS. You will be required to send SMS in the format RVID < Space> Last four digits of your Aadhaar number from your registered mobile number to 1947. 

How to Generate Virtual ID from UIDAI/Aadhar website  

To Generate virtual ID click https://resident.uidai.gov.in/vid-generation following direct page will open 

After getting Virtual ID from any of the above methods. Go to back EPFO nomination screen and click to e-sign icon and proceed. 

Enter VID check and verify.  

The next page will appear as follows 

Select the checkbox to confirm as “I hereby give my consent for using e-KYC services data from Aadhaar for the purpose of signing the selected document and generating Digital signature.” 

Enter Virtual ID and click on “Get OTP”. Once you receive OTP on your registered mobile number, mention the OTP in the field — “Enter Your Aadhaar OTP”. 

Select the checkbox to confirm the consent and Submit 

The screen will display the message as “PDF signed successfully”.
