Android P currently released for Google Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel 2, and Pixel 2 XL only. Pixel user can download from Android P Download.

Before testing this version you must need to take a complete backup of your mobile. This version Developer preview System image will remove all data from the device.

The way of Messaging has been improved

  1. Messaging notifications image can be displayed earlier version image view on notification was not available.
  2. Channel settings, broadcasts, and Do Not Disturb: earlier version there was an option allowing you to create a user –customization channel for each type of notification. On this version, the channel option has been enhanced for betterment.

Multi-camera support and camera updates:

You can now access streams simultaneously from two or more physical cameras on devices running Android P. This can be possible with either dual-front or dual-back cameras, you can create innovative features which is not possible with just a single camera, such as seamless zoom, stereo vision. On this version of Android, you can call a logical or fused camera stream that automatically switches between two or more cameras.

ImageDecoder for bitmaps and drawing: Now you do not need to stall separate apps to draw images. Also, changes can be possible with animation files.

Images compression:

Android P adds built-in support for High Dynamic Range (HDR) VP9 Profile 2, so you can now deliver HDR-enabled movies to your users from YouTube, Play Movies, and other sources on HDR-capable devices.

Network Data uses:

on this version, you have provision to set data limit better handle network-related jobs for the user.

Security Improved:

Android P introduces a number of new security features, including a unified fingerprint authentication dialogue and high-assurance user confirmation of sensitive transactions.
